Tsarry Night is a black as night due to a blend of roasted malts and barley. These grains also impart a dry, roast grain character with notes of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and licorice. This beer is fairly strong and with strength comes a rich malt character that is balanced by an assertive dollop of bitterness added to the brew at the beginning of the kettle boil.
Tsarry Night is a strong stout brewed in the Russian Imperial Stout style. These strong stouts at one time were exported from England to Tsarist Russia and became known by the style designator Russian Imperial Sout.
Enjoy this stout with roasted and grilled meats, caviar, richly flavored desserts, and aged cheeses.
